Semasa amali kimia, pelajar akan dinilai berdasarkan kemahiran manipulatif dan laporan amali.Penilaian amali menyumbangkan markah kepada Penilaian Berterusan. (Macam PBS di sekolah) Pembahagian markah adalah seperti berikut:
1. MANIPULATIVE SKILLS (50 MARKS)
• Planning out the experiment (jotter)
• Safety precautions
• Handling the chemicals and apparatus
• Recording observation(s)
Setiap pelajar wajib menyediakan sebuah jotter book (buku catatkan kecil). Kandungan dalam jotter book itu adalah nombor dan tajuk eksperimen, prosedur dalam bentuk diagram, jadual keputusan, perbincangan dan sampel pengiraan.
2. REPORT WRITING (50 MARKS)
i. Front cover
• Name, Matric number, Course code, Experiment number, Title, Group members, Practica, Date, Lecturer
ii. Title
• As in the lab manual
iii. Objective
• Objective(s) of the experiment
iv. Introduction
• Facts, theories and ideas that relatrd to the experiment
v. Procedure
• Simplified procedures written in passive sentences
vi. Result
• Observation and data from the experiment
vii. Data Analysis
• Calculation/related diagram/graphs that are related to the data/result
viii. Discusscion
• Explanation that relates the findings to the theory or the objectives of the experiment
ix. Conclusion
• Statement(s) that answer the objective(s) of the experiment
x. Exercises
