My dream book

Saya nak compile semua nota dan latihan untuk dijadikan satu pun. Saya nak publish. Walaupun bukan jual. Sekarang ni saya ada satu compilation, Rising Together Series. Tapi I nak upgrade, dan daftar IBSN. Disini, saya parking tips tulis exercise book, suggest by Mr Nova. Bukan semua suggestion dia sy terima, tapi ada a few yg sangat bagus. Boleh jadi panduan untuk newbies mcm saya.

Begin Each Topic with a Quick Recap

  • Add concise summaries or concept maps at the start of each chapter to refresh students' understanding before tackling exercises.
  • Categorize questions into levels:

Use Diagrams and Visuals

  • Include diagrams (e.g., for mechanisms, apparatus, titration curves) and ask students to interpret or complete them.

Practice with Past Paper Style Questions

  • Create original questions in the style and format of past A-Level exams. Include marks and command words ("describe", "explain", etc.).
  • Include short quizzes every few topics to reinforce learning. Consider multiple choice, true/false, or matching-type questions.

Portrait (Recommended)

  • Ideal Page Count: 40–70 pages max
  • (Divide book into 2–3 volumes or topic sets if needed — e.g., Physical, Organic, Inorganic)

Margins & Spacing

  • Use wide margins (1.5–2 cm) for teacher notes or student doodles.
  • Include ample white space between questions to reduce visual overload

Use a Tiered Difficulty System

  • Level 1: Basic recall

  • Level 2: Application

  • Level 3: Exam-style/challenging synthesis questions

Mini Quizzes & Recap Tests
  • ✅ Feels like a traditional book — better for writing and flipping pages.

  • ✅ Easier to print, bind, and photocopy (school-friendly).

  • ✅ Most students are used to this format.

  • ๐ŸŸ  More space vertically for working out equations, graphs, and mechanisms.

Minimize Text, Maximize Practice:

  • Avoid long theory explanations

  • Just quick summaries, then straight into tiered exercises

  • Include worked examples but limit to 1–2 per topic

  • Use wide margins (1.5–2 cm) for teacher notes or student doodles.

  • Include ample white space between questions to reduce visual overload.

Use icons to guide students:

  • ๐Ÿ’ก = Hint

  • ⚠️ = Warning/Common Mistake

  • ๐Ÿงช = Experiment

  • ๐Ÿ“ = Practice

  • ๐Ÿง  = Think / Extension
